About
WE are proof of the LOVE OF GOD. The Love of God is the most powerful thing in the world. It dissolves hatred and prejudice. It brings peace to the troubled; mercy and forgiveness to the rebellious; hope to the hopeless; and comfort and joy to those who are hurting and are sad. Best of all, the love of God in Christ transforms lives, making the sinner a child and a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is what success truly is. This is our experience and we commit to spreading this truth to all.
WE are a not-for-profit Christian organization incorporated in the State of Louisiana and registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Christian charity with a tax exempt status under the IRS Code, section 501c. We share the total Gospel (Good News) of our Lord Jesus Christ in words and deeds wherever we can. We have ongoing Gospel work here in the USA and in Africa (Nigeria).
In the USA, we have been involved in community outreach in the Greater New Orleans area since 2002. We share the Gospel in nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, prisons and wherever we have opportunities. We donate food and other essential items to the needy; and respond to the needs of victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornados and flooding. In 2018, we established the Lord Jesus Christ Our Savior Assistance Fund at the Delgado Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans to support needy nursing students as part of our work in alleviating human suffering for Christ’s sake. We believe that trained quality nurses and other health workers are vital in alleviating human suffering. In 2020, we participated in COVID-19 relief efforts in the USA by making donations to Charities that run food banks, shelters, and emergency healthcare services.
In Africa, our work is primarily in rural southeastern and southwestern Nigeria. We set up a Servant-Neighbor Care Ministries, a sister organization, which serves as a vehicle for our Gospel mission work in Nigeria. In 2005, we started a Gospel health service mission outreach in and around Arochukwu community in southeastern Nigeria where many rural poor needlessly die of treatable common illnesses due to ignorance. While our health mission has a curative part, its major focus is on community health education for preventive health. In 2008, we purchased a 15 – passenger capacity Ford E-350 van for our health mission operation. We took health services to the people where they were: in the market squares, village squares, churches and schools. In 2010, we completed a health clinic building in the Arochukwu community – the Servant Neighbor Care health clinic. This facility is our primary center for the delivery of free health services to the African rural poor.
In 2011, we started a poverty alleviation program for the rural poor. We assist the poor to acquire vocational skills, start a business and become self-employed. This program has benefitted rural farmers, petty traders, tailors, carpenters, mechanics/technicians and a number of other handymen/women. We expanded this program in 2018 to include provision of food, school supplies, sanitary supplies and footwear to children from poor families in Arochukwu and Modakeke communities in southeastern and southwestern Nigeria. In 2020 and 2021, we assisted in providing a drinking water borehole in Egigbo community, and in Okuomo village in southwestern Nigeria. We are also supporting some Ejigbo widows in dress-making skill acquisition and in starting their own dress-making businesses.
All of our Gospel mission efforts are on-going, and expanding. We provide updates in our biannual newsletters. We are happy to send our newsletters (back and current issues) upon request.
